Beatrix bridge

The refurbishment of the Beatrix bridge over Austria's most traveled high-speed rail route between Vienna's districts of Meidling and Floridsdorf required permanent monitoring of the track areas and abutments. In order to avoid interfering with ongoing rail operation during the injection of abutments, individual areas were monitored at minute intervals. The installation of the sensors was difficult: directly on the track area, but outside of the deformation range.
