ÖNORM meets baroque:
Clarity in the documentation of cultural goods.

Regulations introduced up to the release of the 2015 ÖNORM standards were not much help to the documentation of cultural goods. They only described how standardized buildings should be surveyed and documented. However, a 500-year-old chapel is surveyed completely differently from a turn-of-the-century building or an industrial building from the 70s. This was finally addressed in the ÖNORM A 6250-2. These new standards have already been bringing light to the shadows since early 2015 and provide clarity and assurance to all concerned. We heartily welcome the current regulations at Bogensberger. So much so, that we constantly qualitatively surpass the stipulated requirements.

Architects have the best plan.

At Bogensberger, architects work on the documentation of cultural goods. For good reason. Their expertise and experience guarantee what compelling plan presentations need. Architects also clearly understand the concerns and wishes of other architects the best. Everything from then on is plain sailing: everything "stands and falls" with highly accurate reference grids. And, for this, measuring know-how is needed. Ultimately, only a stress-free polygon grid ensures that the individual 3D scans can be incorporated into a geometrically correct, virtual overall model. The 2D plans or 3D models that serve as the indispensable basis for the work of architects are then extrapolated from this according to demand and requirements.

Saint Aegydius swears by lasers.

Three-dimensional measuring using laser scanning is particularly good for the appraisal of that which is old and worthy of protection (such as the baroque Aegydius chapel). This is due to one of the advantages of laser scanning for buildings with delicate surfaces: everything takes place contactless. Furthermore, this method is the optimal basis for successful conversion or renovation projects. If highly accurate planning foundations are required, the laser scanner is a particularly economic and precise answer. Ask us about this, too.

Stricter than the ÖNORM standards permit.

The stipulations of the ÖNORM A 6250-2 are good, but often not good enough. To deliver maximum accuracy, we gladly surpass the standards. In doing so, you see dimensional deviations less than or equal to 1 cm. Under normal circumstances, we achieve a deviation less than or equal to 2–5 mm. In the field of photogrammetry, the ÖNORM standards require an image resolution of 300 dpi at 1:20 for scientific applications. In the Aegydius chapel, for example, we achieved 300 dpi on a scale of 1:5. How is this possible? We are glad to explain this in detail in a private meeting.
